Huchuy Cusco, meaning "little Cusco" in Quechua, is an Inca archaeological complex made up of agricultural terraces, water canals, and ceremonial structures, with panoramic views over the Sacred Valley. Unlike other better-known sites in the region, it remains little frequented by mass tourism.

The route is walked accompanied by llamas throughout the journey — a way of walking as it was traditionally done in the Andes, along high-altitude trails connecting areas such as Tambomachay or Patabamba with the descent toward the Sacred Valley.
